Boost your career in Agriculture

Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL) for Rising High School Seniors, June 10-15, 2012 at North Carolina A&T State University

FREE - There is no cost for students to participate in this unique program. Sponsored by N.C. Farm Bureau.

Outstanding rising high school seniors are invited to apply for a free, one-week residential program where they'll be exposed to academic and research programs in the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences while also being introduced to careers in the food, agricultural, and environmental sciences.

Explore 4-H


Interested in 4-H? Monthly meetings are offered for 5-9 year olds to explore the different topics available in 4-H. We have made kites, planted "Tickle Me Plants", met some sheep, explored pet safety, explored Glow in the Dark science and more! Join us for more fun topics in 2012. We have been meeting on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 at the Agricultural Conference Center. Contact us if you are interested in attending so we can keep you updated on meeting details as dates and locations may change (especially in the winter!)

4-H Camp Registration Open


January 27 is the target date for registrations:

Enrollment for 4-H Camp for Summer 2012 is now open. Watauga County 4-H will escort a group of 8-14 year old campers to Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center. The center is located above Greensboro in Rockingham County, near Reidsville. The camping week is June 24-June 29. To guarantee a spot, register by January 27. The good news is you can reserve your spot with a $100.00 deposit and have until June to save up for the rest of the fee, which is $330.00 more (total of $430.00). The fee covers meals, lodging, t-shirt, transportation to camp and more. Registration will continue beyond January 27, but spaces may not be guaranteed.

Explore 4-H Thursday the 15th


Explore 4-H on Thursday, December 15th at 6:00 at the Agricultural Conference Center. This group meets monthly and is targeted toward 5-9 year olds, exploring a variety of topics. Our December session will feature wintry fun. We will meet at the Agricultural Conference Center.

Movie Night
